ABSTRACT
The scapula is one of the bones in our body which is large and of triangular shape which lies on the upper back. The bone is supported and surrounded by a complex structure of muscles that together works and supports the movement of your arm. If any condition or injury makes these muscles imbalanced or weak it further alters the scapular position while in motion or at rest. This alteration leads to various difficulties like - makes it difficult to move the arm mostly while doing overhead activities, causes weakening of shoulder and may lead to any serious injury also. There are a lot of shoulder disorders which cause earlier mentioned symptoms and one among them is Scapular Dyskinesis. In the below study we will discuss this Scapular condition in detail so let's have a look.
INTRODUCTION
Scapular Dyskinesis is deviation or alteration in the active or resting position of the scapula while shoulder movement. For most of the people due to repetitive usage there are abnormal ways of movement of the scapula. For proper functioning of the shoulder the scapular rotation must be good. Scapula is also known as shoulder blade and it obeys as a base for functioning and activation of rotator cuff. Any soft tissue or bony injury nearby or around the shoulder alters the functioning of the scapula while on rest or in motion. This is a brief view on scapular dyskinesis, let's see the causes, symptoms and other details about this condition in the article below.

DIAGNOSIS OF SCAPULAR DYSKINESIS
The doctor will first take all the medical history or past history and even ask the questions about the symptoms. The doctor will examine the scapula and entire shoulder, look for injury, tightness or weakness. After this comes the visual observation while this the doctor will see the affected side from behind and compare it with the other side. To evaluate Scapular Dyskinesis the doctor asks to move the arm of the affected side for 3-5 times in up and down movement. If this activity shows any abnormal movement then there is a chance of Scapular Dyskinesis. The other examination includes manual muscle testing. In this there is a test done for checking strength of scapular muscles which evaluates muscle weakness.
