AYURVEDIC VIEW OF ATAXIA

Ataxia is considered as a Beej dosha disease. Due to decreased pranayatna (action potential), less ATP production (urga karma) is there. This leads to decreased cellular metabolism (known as bala in ayurveda), due to which ama drvya is produced at the cellular levels. This ama leads to obstruction and iron alternation reacts with oxygen to produce free radicals (known as ama visha) and destroys cellular processes.
