In a life of a women beginning from the puberty and remaining up to menopause normally a transparent or whitish fowl less liquid vaginal discharge occurs through vagina.
It's a normal process and part of body's defence mechanism to keep the vagina clean and healthy, but when the secretion is more than normal and it starts creating irritation associated with foul smell is known as Leucorrhoea.
Vaginal cavity is covered by a protective flora consisting of healthy yeast and bacteria which maintains the ph of vaginal flora at normalcy, but due to aggravating causes (as disccussed below ) this ph balance is disturbed and the alteration of bacterial and yeast flora leading to inflammation and discharge per vagina which is white in colour.
This can last for a week or for a month or more and may affect the female reproductive system.
This can be experienced by a female right from the onset of puberty and up to the time the female is sexually active or till menopause.
